Friday Tour registration is from 6-7 p.m. After a light meal of sandwiches and ice cream, the twilight tour heads out from the Community Building. We go to nearby sites which have birds of interest, usually plovers, owls, and nesting hawks. The tour usually gets back to the community building about 8:30
Saturday: Breakfast is provided from 5:30 – 8:30 a.m. The morning tour begins around 6:15. While focusing on mountain plovers, we go to numerous different sites which each have distinctive habitats and birds, . Tour goers can expect to see lots of raptors; migratory waterfowl and shore birds; migrating songbirds; and pronghorns and other native wildlife. We get back to the Community Building about 12 for lunch. The afternoon tour lasts from about 1-6 p.m. again visiting several sites so that we can take advantage of species of interest that are in the area, plus plovers.
Entertainment 4-7 p.m. – The Saturday evening entertainment is different each year. Often we have music, talks about birds, or presentations by a raptor rescue organization.
Country dinner 6 p.m. The homestyle country dinner provides a taste of the Old West, including succulent beef, beans, and fruit cobblers.
Sunday: Breakfast 7-9 a.m.– The tour begins around 8:00 a.m.. TBA
